The city of Rome and its occupants are rather well known for many things. Wine, beautiful women and great pizzas ring but a few bells. Their most memorable accomplishment does however spawn from their great sense of theatrical presence. They always knew how to escalate things to magnificent proportions...and of course, entertain a crowd.

They did however have a kind of sadistic nature when it came to entertainment. For them, fun was watching grown men and women slaughter each other in a gigantic coliseum. Although this isn't exactly our cup of tea, learning how these heroes and heroines stayed in such great shape and captivated a nation, is right up our alley. So we headed to Rome to, well, do as the Romans do...fight with swords and shields to the death. Well, actually fight until Etienne calls time out.
